The Maltese archipelago consists of three main islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino with a total surface area of 316km2. Malta was exposed to a diversity of cultures, enhancing its rich archaeological, historical and cultural heritage. The relaxed and inexpensive lifestyle of Malta, its incredible climate and beautiful sea, make it an ideal destination for language learning. The local people speak Maltese. However, most are also fluent in English, a legacy of British rule which lasted 160 years. Malta obtained its independence from Britain in 1964 and became a Republic in 1974. The Constitution of Malta guarantees freedom of worship and association.

Language School

Our partner school is accreditated by: FELTOM (Federation of English Language Teaching Organizations of Malta). Our English language school partner has been operating in Malta since 1980 and the staff is proud to belong to one of Malta's first ever schools for English as a Foreign Language (EFL). the name of our partner schools stands for competence, quality, and decades of experience in language instruction. The school aims to offer a truly international environment as it welcomes students from all over the globe. The committed team of staff and teachers aim to provide a supportive and helpful environment to make it possible for you to benefit academically and socially during your stay. All teachers are trained to teach English as a Foreign Language using theories and teaching methodologies developed by the school which emphasises the importance of learning English through English, encouraging students to communicate in English from Day One of their course. The school consists of 44 fully air conditioned classrooms. Classrooms are of different sizes to accommodate larger classes of 10 students as well as smaller classes of up to 6 students. There are 7 floors in the school and lifts are situated on the ground floor and the 2nd floor. The school is equipped with Internet WIFI.

Note: Due to the high number of students, extra buildings will be used during the summer period. Some of them might have air conditioning or not. Course building depends on the English level of the student and will be confirmed upon arrival.

The Internet Café is situated right next to the main entrance of the school. Students can use the internet as well as have a snack (a limited number of internet usage is only included for StudyGlobal students). The opening hours are from 08.00 to 16.00 hrs Monday to Friday and from 09.00 to 15.00 hrs on Saturday.

There is a Library and Resource room on the 1st floor , which is open to students and teachers who would like extra reading material. The administration offices are located in the main building with reception on the ground floor and academic and administration offices on the 1st floor. The school has an audio/visual room suitable for presentations, lectures and lessons. The room is fully equipped with television, video cassette player, dvd, and stereos and is situated on the 6th floor.

Language Course for Executives

Courses are held from Beginner to Advanced Levels. These levels correspond to the levels A0 to C2 of the common European Framework.

Time Schedule: Classes for certain courses and in high season take place in a shift system and are held both in the morning and in the afternoon. Participants will receive their timetable on the first day of school and will be asked to follow it accordingly. Where lessons are held in the afternoon, cultural tours and outings will be held in the morning.

Business English Course (20 or 30 lessons per week)

The need to communicate in English in the Business world has become a requirement in the work place today. Our business courses aim to give you the skills and confidence you need in your profession. Suitable for participants from Elementary to Advanced. Enhance your communication skills in your profession or business with our specialised business courses. Choose from 20 or 30 lessons per week. If there is only one or two participants at a particular level, the lessons will be reduced to 15 (Business 20 lessons) and to 20 (Business 30 lessons) lessons.

Designed to provide executive English for those in top/middle management, banking or engineering, the course focuses on exploring the English language with specific reference to the participant's profession and work environment. It is a one-to-one course which deals solely with your personal situation and the school aims to maximise your learning growth and potential within that period of time. Participants are also offered a daily newspaper, a stationery pack, a course book and cassette/CD, morning refreshments, daily lunch with the teacher or another member of staff and a weekend excursion.

This comprehensive package combines an intensive course of 35 accelerated professional private lessons per week with a full cultural and social program which form part of your learning plan. You will practice English continuously throughout the day as your teacher accompanies you for lunch and excursions. You will also have dinner with your teacher during the week in different restaurants around Malta. Accommodation is in a luxurious 4-star hotel from Sunday to Sunday, as excursions are on Saturdays.
