The language school is located in the heart of Portsmouth and in the very best area of the city; next to the main shopping centre, library and railway station, theatre and restaurants, and yet is still within walking distance of the 10 km of beaches and sea-front. You can reach most of the city's attractions in less than 30 minutes walking.
Language School
In mid 1997, the school bought and fully converted its outstanding new building into what is now certainly one of the most impressive language training facilities in the U.K. The school counts 50 superbly equipped and beautifully decorated classrooms, all with excellent natural light and ventilation. There is also a large student lounge & recreation area with pool, snooker, table tennis, billiards, TV/DVD and board games and a bistro-style cafeteria offering hot and cold snacks and light meals.
The multimedia CD-Rom computers are all instantly connected to the internet via ADSL and WIFI internet connection is available throughout the building. Students can use the internet for free in the computer room (from 12:15 - 13:45 and from 16:30 - 17:30, executive student have an extra hour from 08:30 - 09:30).
The school's Executive Training Centre is one of the best equipped training facilities in Britain and includes:

Self-Access CentreOur partner schools believee that
self-access study is an important part of a course. Therefore, its facilities includes a Self-Access Centre which contains: TV, DVD and video, an audio-active language laboratory and library, multimedia CD ROM computers and color printers.
Professional CommunicationOur partner is one of the top Executive English Training centres in the UK and specialises in the design of specifically-tailored ‘English for Professional Communications’ courses on a ‘one-to-one’ or ‘small group’ basis for many major international companies. The courses are essentially practical; they are designed to improve communicative performance in a wide range of professional, business and commercial contexts and may include English for meetings, English for negotiations, making presentations, dealing with numerical data, telephoning, socialising and entertaining, fax, e-mail, letter and report writing.
Language Course for Executives
The weekly programme is highly intensive and is based on a study programme of 42 hours per week; including 25 contact plus 5 to 10 hours of supervised self-access study using the media centre (language laboratory/video) plus 7 ½ hours optional of social English practice over lunch with a member of the teaching staff plus evening social activities.

Option : Group lunch with a teacher
Participants take their lunch at a local restaurant accompanied by other participants and a member of the teaching staff from Monday to Friday which represents approximately 7h30 of English use outside of the classroom.
Option A: One-to-One Course (25 + 5/10 lessons per week)
The exact course content is finalised only after the school has carried out an in-depth interview, needs analysis & language assessment of the participant on arrival. The primary focus of this highly intensive individual one-to-one training will be on the professional communication skills and terminology specifically required by the participant in his/her business or professional environment. The programme also includes intensive remedial work on the participant's specific language difficulties.

Option B: Closed Group Course (25 + 5/10 lessons per week)
‘Closed Group’ consists of participants from the same company or organisation with compatible language levels. This option allows to concentrate on the specific professional and linguistic needs which are particular to the group, and to introduce authentic materials from the client company. The maximum number of participants per group is six.

Option C: Open Group Course (25 + 5/10 lessons per week)
The ‘Open Group’ consists of a maximum of 4 participants from different companies. The group is normally mixed-nationality and participants should have a starting level of lower intermediate or above.

Option D: Combination Course (25 + 5/10 lessons per week)
This option combines 50% one-to-one tuition with 50% open small group tuition. This course offers the advantages of both individual and group tuition; i.e. communication and contact with participants of different nationalities and commercial backgrounds for half of the day and concentration on the individual’s specific language difficulties and requirements in the other half of the day.

Professional English + Golf
English & Golf programs are available from 5th April to 24th September 2010. In the event of bad weather suitable alternative activities will be organized, including cultural activities and/or sightseeing. The English courses follow the same study concept as the Business Communication Courses for Professionals.
Please note that prices do not include shoe or club-hire: this is available at a small extra charge (approx. GBP 15-20.00) from the Golf Clubs.
You can choose between 3 program options :
Option G-1 PLUS: Full day Individual
Monday to Friday: Five full days of individual language and communication training with a round of following golf training on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Approximately 43 hours of trainer contact, including Golf Companion. On Golf Days participants will be occupied from 8.30 to 19.30 approximately, and from 8.30 to 16.30 on Monday and Friday.
