IMPORTANT NOTE: Students under 18 and studying in low season at the adult school must book homestay accommodation in single rooms, Standard or Intensive course and airport transfers. Supervision is not provided.

You will learn how English is spoken and used in many situations and how to effectively use grammar, new vocabulary, idioms and practice pronunciation through reading, writing, speaking and listening, thus attaining fluency and confidence in the use of the language.

All students will take a placement test to assess accurately their English language ability so they can placed in the right class with other students of the same level. The students will be given a welcome talk by the Academic Director where timetables, lessons and academic information are explained.

The school’s course levels follow the structure of the Common European Framework.

The Intensive English Language course is the same as the Standard English Language programme but with the advantage of two extra lessons in the afternoon (30 lessons per week). This course will give the student more study time to progress and gain greater fluency and accuracy at a faster pace.A combination of General English for core skills and selection of electives will allow you to gain greater fluency and accuracy more quickly. The special focus module is held in the afternoon.  

The Academic Year is specifically designed for students studying 6 months or more and is highly structured and comprehensive to enable you to devote yourself to your studies and to maximize your progress over an extended period of time. Choose to study 20 lessons or the intensive option of 30 lessons each week. With 6 to 12 months of dedicated English language study you can progress at least two complete language levels. With dedication and commitment you can advance up to four levels.

Upon reaching upper-intermediate level, you will have the freedom to choose between business and academic pathways. Students can take a recognized exam preparation course. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Academic Year 20 lessons per week: If there are only 1-3 students in the class, the school will reduce the number of lessons to 10 lessons per week, if there are only 4-6 students in class, the number of lessons will be reduced to 15 lessons per week
Academic Year 30 lessons per week: If there are only 1-3 students in the class, the school will reduce the number of lessons to 15 lessons per week, if there are only 4-6 students in class, the number of lessons will be reduced to 20 lessons per week.
 

One-to-One lessons is the ultimate course for making maximum progress during a short period of time. This is a highly intensive course which is 100% focused on the student’s English language requirements and designed by the teachers to match specific needs. This is the most flexible and personal course available. Students can choose to study 20, 30 or 40 lessons per week or combine One-to-One tuition with a group course. This combination gives you the advantage of the interaction of a group in the morning and individually tailored tuition in the afternoon. You can choose to take 02, 04, 06, 08 or 10 lessons after your group course.

We offer short intensive courses created for busy people who want to improve their English language ability as much as they can in a short period of time. To ensure you benefit from your course in the most efficient way, we establish your needs before your arrival. You will complete a needs analysis identifying your motivation for learning English. Once we have this information we are able to customise your course to suit your needs.

Throughout your course, your progress will be monitored and recorded. At the end of your course, you will receive a linguistic profile detailing your strengths, weaknesses, what you have covered, how you have developed and what you now need to do to consolidate your learning and how to improve further after you have returned home.

Business English Mini Group is an intensive course designed to help you make maximum progress during your stay. You will discuss relevant case studies, focusing on the needs of your group. The course also provides excellent networking opportunities, and presents a chance to meet likeminded people from all over the world.

This is the ideal course for making rapid progress in a limited period of time.

You could choose to concentrate on a number of core professional skills or to focus on a particular project. We encourage you to bring materials from your workplace in order to refine specific documents or presentations while you are at the school. Our partner school can provide specialised One-to-One lessons specific to your profession, for example: English for Marketing, Accountancy, Human Resources, Advertising, Finance, Banking, Tourism and Law.

This is the most intensive and customised course intended for a one or two week programme. It is a combination of 40 One-to-One lessons at school with 15 hours in the company of a teacher outside of the classroom. Activities outside of the classroom are arranged to suit your interests.

Every weekday you will have lunch with a teacher. You will also have 2 accompanied activities and an excursion each week to maximise your exposure to English and provide ‘real life’ opportunities in which to practice and improve your English skills outside the classroom.

Before beginning your placement you will attend an English language course, which provides a great opportunity for you to get used to life in a new country and helps to build your confidence using English before starting your internship.

Internships allow you to improve your English in a specific profession, gain practical skills and increase your awareness of international business practices. This program combines a min. of 4 weeks Intensive English language course (30 lessons per week) with a min. of 4 weeks unpaid internship in an English company.

Sectors available: Sales and Marketing, Finance, PR & Advertising, Media, Human Resources, Law, Engineering, Travel & Tourism, Hotel & Catering, Accounting, Insurance, Administration & Secretarial, International Trade, Voluntary Organisations - requests in other vocations are always considered.

Our English language partner school offers an English language program for younger students aged 13 to 17 years during the summer months from June to August. Students study 20 or 30 lessons per week in international classes. The school uses a communicative approach to make students feel comfortable when speaking English. Students alternate between morning and afternoon classes.

The course includes accommodation in a host family or student residence as well as a full supervised activity program.

Our English language school partner offers the opportunity for families to experience a holiday with a difference in summer: sharing an unforgettable vacation whilst learning English. Parents can study at the adult centre whilst children take part in the Day Program at our Junior Centre. Alternatively, parents may choose to take a relaxing break whilst their children learn English.

A classic Junior Day Program is available for teenagers aged 13-17 years in Brighton. These programs provide an ideal supplement to a family holiday. Teenagers can learn English, socialize with teens from all over the world and take part in a scheduled activity program. Students study 20 or 30 lessons per week in international classes of max. 15 students per group. The school uses a communicative approach to make students feel comfortable when speaking English. Students alternate between morning and afternoon classes.

The school will be closed during public holidays and missed lessons will not be recuperated (except One-to-One).
