Our Gloucester Road school is a traditional Victorian building, which has been completely refurbished. There is a student services office and over 20 classrooms on 3 floors, including an Executive Centre on the top floor with One-to-One classrooms. We also use two annexes a short walk from our main Gloucester Road School.

On each floor there is a central common area with tea and coffee facilities where students can meet during breaks and lunchtime. Students can choose to have lunch in one of the many local cafes and restaurants or buy take-away food to eat in the common area. The local supermarkets and shops have an excellent variety of international food at reasonable prices. On the first floor, there is a well-equipped Study Centre with free Internet access and a range of material for self-study including online exercises, cassettes, videos, books, examinations practice materials, newspapers and magazines. There is also a wireless network facility (WIFI) and students can access the Internet and their emails if they bring their own laptop computer. |

Whether Gardens School In addition to the school at Gloucester Road, Kensington, there's a fantastic building in Kensington in Wetherby Gardens. Wetherby Gardens is a 5-minute walk from Gloucester Road underground station. Gloucester Road Underground station is on the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines. Marylebone Marylebone is the summer school for adults which is 4 minutes´ walk from Bond Street Underground Station in the fashionable area in the West End of London. While you are there you will be able to use the following resources:- Computers - online exercises for grammar, vocabulary and examination preparation. You can send and receive emails and surf the Internet for free. You can also use Windows to write CVs, compositions and letters.
- TV and Video - a range of films and TV videos: thrillers, love stories, science fiction etc which all have closed captions (this means that you can read the words on the screen at the same time as you listen).
- Listening cassettes with accompanying books. We also have cassettes and books to help you improve your pronunciation and novels which you can read while you listen to the cassette.
- Fiction books (novels) which can be borrowed and taken home to read.
- Grammar and vocabulary books at all levels.
- Newspapers and magazines - daily newspapers including The Guardian and weekly magazines like Time Out and Hello.
- Skills books - to help you improve your writing and reading.

English Language Courses

Learn to communicate effectively and more fluently in everyday English in these lively, international courses for adults of all ages. Your classmates will be students, graduates and working people coming from over 50 countries. You will do a level test either online before departure or upon arrival and will be placed in a group which fits your level on the basis of that test. During your course you will have regular personal meetings with your teacher to review your progress. You will discuss how to achieve your goals. You will also receive guidance on using our study centres. When you successfully complete your course, you receive a certificate showing the length of the course and the language level achieved.
Progress Meetings: this is a short, 5 minute meeting with your teacher that takes place from time to time. About 20-30 minutes per week of class will be used for progress meetings, while the class carries on with work set by the teacher.
Learning Materials: are included except for exam preparation courses. Learning materials for certain exam preparation courses have to be purchased upon arrival as directed by the teacher. Approx. prices are as follows: Cambridge + IELTS: GBP 20; TOEFL: GBP 30 Details: - 1 lesson = 50 minutes

| Our partner school offers a range of different internship programs which offer you the following: - A challenging way to improve your English and learn new skills
- Combine an English course with a period of work for a London company
- Suitable for students, graduates and young job seekers aged between 18-35 years with at least upper intermediate level English
- The objectives of the program are educational and work is unpaid
- Fields: marketing, administration, tourism, fashion, engineering, computing, charities, media resources and other areas
- Programs for both European Union nationals and non-European nationals are available from 6-48 weeks
Length of program: minimum 6 weeks ( 2 weeks course + 4 weeks internship); maximum 48 weeks (24 weeks course and 24 weeks Internship) (non EU students can take the course for longer, but the internship is always 24 weeks maximum).
The work you do will depend on your level of education and qualifications, your skills and experience as well as your level of English. Internships are generally in medium-sized companies. Job specifications and workloads vary, but you can expect to have your own responsibilities and maybe your own project. All internships include some routine activity such as data input, photocopying filling and making tea and coffee. Most companies will interview you before offering you work. You must start the application process early enough to ensure that we will receive all documents 6 weeks before your internship begins. Internship Placement Fee : GBP 395 for placement of less than 4 months, some work section sectors such as Law and Engineering will cost GBP 445. Our study holiday for parents and children becomes more popular each year. It is a relaxing way for all of the family to combine an enjoyable English course with a holiday in London. Please note that the accompanying adult must be over 21 years of age.
Junior Course This fun course is designed for 9-15 year olds. Emphasis is placed on spoken English and communication activities. New language (vocabulary, colloquial English, idioms, grammar) is introduced and practiced in small groups. Imaginative activities and group project work, encourage real communication and rapid learning. Juniors participating in these courses must be accompanied to and from the school each day by a parent or guardian. |  |

Course Location The summer program takes place at our Hyde Park Corner summer school, in Grosvenor Place, or nearby annexe in Grosvenor Gardens. The winter and Easter programs take place at our Kensington schools. Your Free Time Families are free, outside of class time, to enjoy London's many attractions. Participants in the program can participate in some events on the social program, including weekly excursions outside London. Note that juniors must be accompanied by an adult family member (no child care outside class hours).
Starting dates and course length in 2009: - Winter program: 4th January (01-04 weeks), 11th January (01-03 weeks), 18th January (01-02 weeks), 25th January (01 week)

Best Ager 45+ English Language Course
| Adults of all ages are welcome in of our programs, throughout the year. The senior program has been created especially for those who prefer to study with students closer to their age and enjoy our sightseeing program.
The course This course offers practical and relevant language skills, if you have an immediate need for English. Following a needs analysis, you will be placed in a group according to your level and individual requirements. The content of the lessons is conceived with the aim of reviewing and building upon the various areas such as grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing, speaking, pronunciation, and building confidence and fluency, through continual practice of the language.
Though close attention is paid to reading and writing skills, where appropriate, the emphasis of this course is on developing listening and speaking abilities through a variety of classroom activities. Typical topics for building communication vocabulary include, travelling, socialising, formal and informal meetings and making telephone calls. Attention to your individual needs is assured throughout the duration of the course, through a series of personal interviews with your teacher. |

This General English language course focuses on spoken English. You will also learn about British life and traditions at Christmas time. | Discover the diverse culture and entertainment of London and Britain. Each month, there is a new program of sightseeing, cultural and leisure activities and you can join as many activities as you like. The social program may include: | - Visits to some of London’s leading attractions such as St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, the BBC Television Centre and Parliament,
- Weekly guided walks in interesting parts of London
- Entertaining learning events such as pronunciation games, essay writing and photography competitions
- Sports activities such as football, baseball, ice-skating and bowling
- Social clubs to help you meet others with similar interests – the Film Club, the Poker Club and the Chess Club
- Visits to pubs and restaurants and school parties
- Day trips in London to Greenwich, Hampton Court and river Thames boat trips
- Day trips outside London to Stonehenge, Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, Leeds Castle, Brighton and other places
- Weekend stays in Amsterdam and Paris

Social programme events take place in the afternoons, evenings and weekends. On average there are 03 or 04 afternoon and evening events weekly and 01 or 02 weekend excursions. A supplement of GBP 20 will be added for airport transfers when arrival and departure times are between 23.00-5.00 hours.
