The language courses at our English language school partner are focused on the practical application of language skills. Classroom activities focus on developing all four-language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking with an emphasis on communication.

During class, you will often work in groups or in pairs to improve your English through interactive activities. You will practice English in real life situations both inside and outside the classroom with real-life topics each session. Some courses may involve homework.

The school will make sure that you will have an optimal student-teacher ratio as well as an extensive resource collection of text books, tapes, videos and word games and a wide variety of audio-visual and computer-based teaching aids.

Students looking for greater variety can also opt to join TOEFL, TOEIC and business courses described below for several weeks. You can change between the above mentioned courses every 4 weeks. 

Our English language school partner has developed a program, for students interested in an academic career in the US. This course is based on the above described Intensive PLUS course and prepares you to be accepted at the Kapi'olani Community College (KCC), once you have achieved a given level of English sufficiency (see details below).

Once you have achieved the requirements, you can attend more than 90 excellent undergraduate programs at Kapi'olani at the beginning of each semester (including: Business, Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Nursing, and more!). Following your graduation from KCC, you can continue to Study at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa or other universities in the US. Study at our language school to improve your English, and then study at KCC to improve your education!

This program appeals to students who are interested in an accelerated program or who want one-on-one attention. The lessons can be taken solely at any amount or in combination with another course.

You have the choice between private or semi-private lessons (2-to-1 or 3-to-1). Students taking lessons together must have the same English level.

The TOEIC exam preparation language course is scheduled the same way as the afternoon version of the Intensive or Intensive Plus (20 or 25 lessons) course above. Our English Language school partner is not an official TOEIC exam centre but students may take an institutional TOEIC exam, which is held every study term at the school. The official TOEIC exam can be taken at nearby test centers.

Improve your English skills and swing your hips! This combined dancing and English language course and is based on the Standard / Intensive or Intensive PLUS English language course with an added dance course of Hula for 2 lessons per week.

Hula is the traditional dance which developed over centuries in Hawaii and is based on the Polynesian origin of the first settlers to Hawaii. It is accompanied by a chant or song describing certain situations, which are reflected in the dance.
