You will be ideally located on the ocean between Miami and Palm Beach, Florida. With a year round average temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and 310 days, Florida earned itself the reputation as the “sunshine state”. Due to its location along the shore and 300 miles of waterways and canals, Ft. Lauderdale is also known as “The Venice of the America”. Due to this fact, the city offers plenty of sporting and leisure activities on and along the water such as scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, water skiing, kayaking, bicycling, in-line skating and much more. Nearby attractions are Florida Keys (including Key West), Everglades National Park, Walt Disney World, Cape Canaveral or the Universal Studios. | | The city is home to many universities, which contributes to its friendly and safe atmosphere. Meanwhile, Fort Lauderdale is bustling with young, Internet related businesses, thus inspiring the nickname of “Capital of the internet coast”, most evident in the fact that all of the Downtown and Las Olas areas provide free W-LAN. The downtown area has seen dramatic growth in the past decade as a result of these businesses. The main street “Las Olas Boulevard” has gained international recognition as Fort Lauderdale's centerpiece of fashion, fine dining and entertainment. This status is rounded up by festivals and happenings such as the Downtown Festival of Arts, Week of the Ocean, Honda Golf Classic, the Air and Sea Show and the Ft.
