It is located on the South Coast of Ireland. This ancient city, with a rich and colourful heritage, is a fascinating mix of the modern and the traditional. From the bustling port and centuries old buildings on the River Lee , to the busy commercial centre and the colourful market – it is clear that this is a city with something very special to offer. | | Cork was crowned European Capital of Culture in 2005 and is famous for its music, sporting tradition and cultural heritage. It is also a city with a vibrant heart, charming pubs, relaxing cafés and world-class restaurants. You will never be short of something to do in Cork and its many festivals are proof of that – jazz, opera, films and much more. The Cork people themselves are incredibly friendly; and always delighted to welcome visitors with open arms. Be warned though – they love to talk and you might be lucky to get a word in edgeways! All in all, Cork is a city that will draw you in, fascinate and delight you. It is your ideal base for learning English and exploring Ireland and its culture. | | |

- Course starting date : Any Monday during the winter period, this program is not offered during the months of June, July and August.
- Level : all levels from Upper Intermediate (at the time of the work placement) to Advanced
Accommodation during the study period can be booked with the school. If the Work Placement is in the Cork area the student can continue to stay in this same accommodation. However, if the Work Placement is in another area, the accommodation Manager arranges accommodation for the student in a family with half board single room within reasonable travelling distance of the workplace. The student can also choose to stay in a guesthouse or hotel. If the student lives in the European Economic Area (i.e. European Union countries + Iceland, Norway) they do not need a visa or a Trainee Work Experience Permit. Students of other nationalities, on receipt of the Enrolment Form and Full Payment, will be sent a Certificate of Enrolment, which covers the entire Work Experience Programme Program (i.e. the English Course and the Work Placement). This enables the student to obtain a student visa for the duration of the whole Programme and therefore he/she does not need a work permit. The school reserves the right to refuse work placement to any student that we do not consider suitable and in this case we will make a full refund of any Work Placement Fees paid. |
