- A standard activity programme is included but these activities are optional.
- Lessons operate on a shift system with a combination of morning and afternoon sessions.

| Summer Vacation Extra Course (20 lessons per week + activities/excursions, 2-11 weeks) (Code VE) | | This summer course is ideal for teenagers aged between 14 and 18 years. The language course is based on the summer vacation course SV but includes further services and custody for the younger students. Accordingly all activities are compulsory and cannot be freely chosen like in the SV course. | Important remarks: - All activities are obligatory and not optional, which guarantees an additional supervision of the students beyond the tuition. Students may only opt out of activities with the permission of their parents or group leader.
- 14-15 year-old students do not receive keys for the house of their guest families and have to be at home at the latest at 22:30 PM.
- Students are permitted to go out unsupervised in their free time and evenings but must return to their homestay by 10.30 PM.

Active tuition and up-to-date study material make you enjoy your studies.
Even if grammar is part of the subject matter, we focus mainly on oral expression, listening comprehension and pronunciation. Lessons include projects, group activities, team work, films, role playing games, songs and games. Excursions Examples of our destinations: London, Oxford, Bath, Windsor, Warwick, Salisbury (via Stonehenge), Adventure Park or trip to the beach, Reading and Swindon, Winchester
The excursions will be prepared during the lessons and promise not only to be of great fun, but also to have a positive study impact.

- Courses start every Monday for all general courses, except if there is a public holiday (starting on Tuesday)
- Minimum Duration of 2 weeks for all General Bournemouth Courses
- Students can arrive on Sunday before the course starts and leave on Saturday after the course ends. Extra nights are available upon request. From 28th June to 2nd August, testing takes place on Sunday and new students should arrive on a Saturday.

The school organises an exciting programme of social activities and escorted visits to Central London (for example "explore Royal London", "explore Hidden London", "London Markets" etc). We ensure that there is something new to do every week!
Excursions Excursions are not included in this course but the school does organise a regular programme of escorted weekend excursions. Excursions include a combination of sightseeing and free time for shopping and exploring! Typical excursion destinations are: Oxford, Salisbury and Stonehenge, Cambridge, Central London tours, Brighton and Canterbury. StudyGlobal can arrange a private taxi service from the airport to your host family. In addition, the school offers an economy transfer from Heathrow to Bournemouth during the summer. Airport transfer, each way:
Economy transfer from Heathrow to Bournemouth Students arriving at London Heathrow on the following dates can use the Economy Transfer Service. - June 13th, 20th, 27th
- July 04th, 11th, 18th, 25th
- August 01st, 08th, 15th, 22nd
- Price for a one way ticket:from London/Heathrow to Bournemouth (arrival): £34 ; from Bournemouth (school) to London/Heathrow (departure): £34
- Cost includes transport from Heathrow to accommodation on arrival and from the school to Heathrow on departure.
- The arrival transfer is suitable for flights arriving at Terminals 1, 2, & 3 only between 9.00am – 14.30pm.
- Departure: Economy transfer is available for flights departing after 12.00pm.
- The economy transfer is not available for flights arriving in/departing from Terminal 4 or 5 (please book a standard transfer).
- If the flight arrives at Terminal 1 or 2, a representative of the school will meet the student in the arrivals hall. If the flight arrives in Terminal 3, the student should collect their luggage and follow the signs to Terminal 1 (about 10-minute walk). They should go to the Terminal 1 Information Desk and ask for the school´s representative.
Students under 16 years must be accompanied to and from the airport. They can be accompanied by their parents or must book an airport transfer two ways. Please contact us if you would like information about public transport from the airport to the school.
