Transport links from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre

Dublin International Airport is located about 07 km away from the city centre. 

Taxi: There is a taxi rank directly outside the arrivals hall in Dublin Airport that operates 24 hours per day. Average cost per journey from airport to accommodation: EUR 30.00-35.00 Ask the taxi driver to estimate the fare before getting into the car if in doubt. There are extra charges for additional passengers, luggage, animals (other than guide dog), time of day, Sundays, and public holidays. Air Coach: is a private bus service, links all major Dublin city hotels with the airport. Departs every 15 minutes. Price: EUR 7.00 single + EUR 12.00 return ticket http://www.aircoach.ie

Bus 747: departs from Bus Stop One every 10 minutes. Travels from Dublin Airport to central bus station, Busaras, in city centre. Average journey is 30 minutes. Service available from 05.45 am – 23.30 pm from Monday to Saturday and from 07.15 am – 23.20 pm on Sundays. Price: EUR 6.00 per way

Traveling in Dublin

The fastest and most economical way to travel around Dublin is to purchase a student commuter ticket. All foreign students may purchase this special bus/train ticket for the duration of their stay. Fees in 2009 listed below. A small increase may apply for 2010.

This special ticket allows clients unlimited use of the normal schedule of Dublin Bus services and trains – DART and ARROW – in Dublin city and suburbs. This ticket cannot be used on the NIGHTLINK. You can purchase bus tickets at the Dublin Bus Main Ticket Office and there is always a staff member to help.

Nightlink is the night express bus service from Dublin City Centre, available after midnight, travelling to most of the suburbs of the city.
