1. Courses
1.1 What level of classes should I take?
As soon as you arrive at the school you will be given a placement exam to determine the level you should be in.

1.2 What qualifications do the teachers have?
All teachers are native speakers, have university degrees, language teaching qualifications and have prior experience teaching languages to foreigners. In addition to their professional credentials, they were carefully selected for their abilities to keep students interested and respond to intercultural differences.

1.3 How many weeks should I study?
This depends on the level you have and you would like to achieve. It generally takes about 12 immersion weeks (20-26 hours classes / week) in order to improve from basic to intermediate. 24 weeks (6 months) of courses are recommended to move from very basic to advanced level.

1.4 What is the focus of the advanced classes?

Advanced classes focus on learning the finer points of grammar, such as uses of the subjunctive and idiomatic expressions, as well as practicing conversational and written skills. Classes at all levels have a maximum of 10 students, some specific courses have a maximum of 4, and discussion topics vary according to student interests.

1.5 Should I bring any materials to class?
Yes. A notebook and writing materials are required. It is also highly recommended to keep a pocket dictionary and a grammar reference book handy. Please contact us to ask for recommended materials: info@studyglobal.com

1.6 When are program start dates?
For our programs at our Centre in Seville Starting Dates are listed here. We realize that students cannot control flight abilities and that not everyone can meet these dates. If you desire to start on another date, consult us at info@studyglobal.com, it is also possible and recommended to take additional private hours to catch up with the group.

1.7 What is a typical day like?
Classes normally begin at 10 AM. Students and teachers generally show up a few minutes earlier for coffee or tea.

The first session lasts until 11.30 AM. Then, there is a half-hour break for breakfast where students can socialize with teachers all together, then at 12.00PM everyone goes back to class until 2.00 PM.

After class most students get lunch with other students and/or teachers. After lunch, at 3.00 PM, students who are taking the Intensive, Business and Spanish Plus Courses back to class until 5.00PM.

Many days include school activities in the afternoon or the evening, as well as excursions for the weekends are also available. Have a look to our sample of the extracurricular activities offered monthly.

1.8 I would like to focus on business, health care, law, etc. Do you offer such programs?
Students wishing to have specialized classes have a couple of options. You can take a private course, one to one, and focus on the specific area that you may require. The other option is to take the Spanish Plus or the Business Spanish Course, which are courses designed for group of students who want to specialize in specific themes such as Spanish Literature, History, Business, etc.

1.9 May I receive university credit?
Most universities will grant credit for course taken at our schools if you come through a program in group arranged previously between your University and our School.

For those students who come by their own and are interested in receiving university credits, you should first visit your University’s Language Department to learn of specific requirements.

The normal process for your University’s Language Department to concede the credits is to review the content of the course that you will be taking with us and require a letter of verification that the course is taught in the local language, once they have this documentation they will take a decision about it.
